BEGUILING Cuba and its world-renowned Health Service was the focus of this professional study tour organised by the IISC in conjuction with the Cuban Ministry of Public Health and Old Havana Ltd. (ATOL. 9627)

11 nights in the famous four star Havana Libre, fully guided and escorted by the IISC director Professor Patrick Pietroni, one of the leading UK experts on the Cuban health system, this tour was designed for health care professionals and academics to obtain the most comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the island's achievements in all spheres medicine.

The tour included the opportunity to share knowledge and experience of medical education at an international conference that was organised from the 30 November to the 3 December at the Hotel Nacional.

Visits included were to the Ministry of Public Health, family doctors' surgeries, polyclinics, hospitals, medical schools and research centres. Time will be taken to explore the future potential of Cuba in terms of its medical outreach work and biotech industry.

The itinerary included a welcome dinner and a gala evening at the end. Options to stay on for an extra week were available. **

Conditions

Old Havana Ltd, is the representative for the San Cristobal tour company. ATOL no. 9627 Price based upon a minimum of 10 participants. If fewer than 10 participants sign up, the itinerary may be subject to change or price fluctuation. Clients will be informed of any changes prior to confirmation.

Cut off deadline for participation is 31 August, 2008.
