Cine Cuba festival 10-17 July 2008
The Barbican Centre in the City of London was the host a festival of Cuban films from July 10-17, 2008.
The IISC helped with the preparation of this season and invited the Cuban film actress Mirtha Ibarra to take part.

Alea, one of which, Una Pelea Cubana Contra Los
Demonios, was especially restored to be shown in the UK for the first
time.
Una Pelea was restored with the help of Roehampton University and the Unreal project and was shown on July 13th on a special day of screenings from Cuba's endangered archives.
The day marked the launch of an appeal to raise funds to save more of the original films that are in sore need of repair.
